Chlorine Chemistry Benefits the U.S. Economy with:

Why Our Alliance Exist

The ARCC, founded in 1994, includes unions, companies, and the Chlorine Chemistry Division (formerly the Chlorine Chemistry Council) of the American Chemistry Council. Serious challenges confront investment and employment in the U.S. chlorine chemistry sector, the greater chemical industry, and U.S. manufacturing at large. Through years of change in the political and business climates, ARCC has provided a forum for the frank exchange of ideas and positions between Labor and Management in an atmosphere of mutual respect.

Read our Statement of Purpose.

Chlorine chemistry purifies drinking water and protects people from food-borne disease. Chlorine chemistry supports the competitive production of U.S. plastics, medicine, paper, computer and electronic components, building supplies, blood bags, intravenous tubing and hospital supplies, auto parts, steel and other metals, agricultural chemicals for abundant food, and thousands of other beneficial products.

A strong, secure, environmentally sustainable chemical industry with safe worksites is essential to innovation and the future of the U.S. economy. The ability to produce and transport chemical products safely and securely throughout the U.S. and internationally is equally essential.
